ahh the weekend =)

Hmmm, when thinking about what has happened this past week a lot of frustration, and happiness comes to mind. Spring Break is in one week and everyone is getting ready for a break. It seem just like yesterday when I was packing my stuff up to come back from Christmas break. It is interesting to see what has happened since then. New friends were made, plans fell through, and a lot of traveling. A lot of you may ask.. what plans, friends, and traveling? this girl is crazy> I will not answer the "crazy" part =) but I will answer the others. ;)
When left alone (with out a roommate) I am forced to be socialble with other people. The best thing is that these "other people" are amazing. i have met new friends from across campus and even upstairs. The past weekend, like said in the earlier post, I was able to go out with these people.
The planning that fell through, well, since Spring Break is this next week, my roommate, best friend and I were all taking a trip to Chicago. AMAZING! We are planning to go and see Wicked and shop around the city. This is somthing that I have been looking forward to for a long time. But the "housing" situation fell through just this past week. I immediately panic, and start to break down. hmm? My roommate and best friend jump into gear and start looking up rooms. The thing that amazes me is that these people are a part of my life for good. I know this, because even though the plans that we made together fell through they are WONDERFUL. Chicago here we come!
Traveling. Well being a part of our music ministry team I am given this change to travel to a part of surrounding areas every weekend. #1 i get to travel. #2 with amazing people. #3 to spread God's love. What could be better? Whether it be frustration, happiness or just a relaxing mood I seem to be in, I can always look back and see what can come out of that time.

Seeing all of the students on campus running around because they are so close to having a break just makes me smile. It is a time that can just take your breath away. Spring Break means that the Winter weather is almost gone, flowers will soon be popping up, and that it is almost time for ultimate frisbee. (somthing that I do not play, but the rest of campus seems to love. )
Whether it be driving to Chicago with your best friends, going to a beach, for chilling out at home with your parents Spring Break is going to be VERY relaxing and needed after this week!

God Bless~!

Memories last a lifetime!

When thinking back on last week all I can really do is laugh. This weekend my roommate, and best friend left to go home for the weekend. This left me at Bluffton ALONE! Panic came to my mind and I could just see myself being bored the rest of the weekend. That thought was proven wrong when some of my friends got the idea to build a fort. hmmm. It was like we were back in 5th grade. ( I personally was just going to throw a sheet over a table, but the boys wanted somehting bigger) We took the sheets off the beds, blankets from the futon, and pillows from the floor and created what was our get away for the night. It was so fun. We watched Garden State (amazing) and then talked about life and told stories. That is something that I will forever remember.

That was Friday night. Saturday morning was even better. 3 of my friends wanted to go and have tea at this place called the Swan House. It was amazing. We got all dressed up and went for lunch. Tea, cookies, scones, and sandwiches were served. So much laughter was heard in that big house because there were four giggly girls. It was a day of fun and laughter. We then took a tour of the house and took a lot of pictures. When we were done, I looked at my watch and realized that it was around 3:30. We spent 4 hours having tea on a Saturday. Time goes by so fast when you are having fun. =) After we got back, we enjoyed a night in by watching chick flick movies.

After the movie, I went to bed at a decent time because Sunday's I travel to churches with our music ministry group called Shining Through. I LOVE this group. They are a second family to me. We go to church and basically do the entire service. The music, the message, and special music. It is so good to have groups of friends that come from different activities. I love days that you can just sit back a watch them go by. It give me a sense of peace. The fact that I am having so much fun is great, but for me the memories will stick with me forever. Memories last a lifetime. =)

Love, dance, beauty!

What is love? It is something that can be found on Valentines Day? I dont think so. Love is something deeper. It is something that you find within friends, family and maybe that someone. Love shouldnt need one day, or even one person. Love should be spread around everyday and should be given to friends and family.
This week on campus, my dorm sponsered "Crush Week". We were able to send a "crush" to a crush! It was something that you could do for a friend or for someone special. It is always nice to come back from class on a cold day, and find a suprise on your desk with a note. Crush was a way to show our love to friends and even loved ones. I got back from class yesterday with a pack of crush. That reminded my how much I am loved by people here at Bluffton. People that I have only met 5 months ago. This is what is important at Bluffton. Family and friends. So what do you do when you find love people... you celebrate. So my roommate, best friend, RA, and I danced with our crush to the song... "I got a crush on you." It was time to laugh and have fun with girls that i love.!!

Bluffton is full of love. Today in Chapel we were anointed and blessed. This was a true blessing in my life because it reminded me that I am loved. Through think and thin I am loved by people.! Chapel was filled with visiting people from different churches for a confrence and they were able to witness our love for God. It is always a great experience to see people come and visit the campus. I wish that everyone would be able to come and see. Bluffton is a beautiful campus, even when covered under piles of snow. It still has this beautiful aspect of it. So on this Thursday I celebrate dancing, love, and beauty at Bluffton. These are things that have stood out in the past week!! =)

As I sit in my dorm, with the tv turned on, I think about my busy day ahead of me. Thurdays.. oh how I love them. =) I always seem to look forward to Thursdays because it is close to the weekends! They also are my busiest days of the week, but very enjoyable. Class in the morning, Chapel, Lunch, Class, homework, worship at 7-9, and then Shining Through practice from 9-10:30. Oh how great Thursdays are! =) Friends and I always get together on Thursdays and watch Grey's Anatomy. It is just time to get together and hang out, laugh and watch some good tv!! =)

Thinking about the night just makes me smile!! Nights at Bluffton are normally entertaining.! That is what I love most about it here. I could be alone for the entire night, but not really be alone! Last night my roommate was gone and I still had people to talk to!! In my opinion Bluffton has this way to keep people busy, whether it be through activities on campus, or just in the dorms!! Bluffton always has love to give! =) haha

Well that is about it for my Thursday today.. busy busy busy.. like always! =)
God Bless!~
